EO HealthHub Connect, an innovator supported through the Propel Healthtech West Yorkshire Start-Up programme, has been shortlisted for the Tech for Good Award (Small Company) at the Leeds Digital Festival Awards 2026.
Founded by Dr Ebiere Osusu, EO HealthHub Connect is developing a digital solution designed to improve the transition from hospital to home by addressing some of the fragmented processes that can make patient discharge complex.
Ebiere founded the company in response to challenges witnessed across healthcare, where patients, families, healthcare professionals and organisations can struggle to access and coordinate the right information at the right time. EO HealthHub Connect aims to bring those different parts of the discharge journey together, supporting better coordination and helping patients return home safely and sooner.
Leeds Digital Festival Awards 2026
The Leeds Digital Festival Awards celebrate the individuals and organisations driving digital innovation across the region, with the Tech for Good category recognising technology being used as a force for positive change.
EO HealthHub Connect is one of five organisations shortlisted in the Small Company category, with the winner set to be announced at the Leeds Digital Festival Awards ceremony on 1 October 2026.
The recognition marks another important milestone for EO HealthHub Connect as it continues to develop its solution and build connections across the health and care ecosystem.
Ebiere said: “I’m absolutely delighted that EO HealthHub Connect has been shortlisted for the Tech for Good Award at the Leeds Digital Festival Awards 2026. As an early-stage founder, moments like this mean a lot because they show that the problem we are working to address and the journey we are building are being recognised.
“Propel Healthtech West Yorkshire has been an important part of that journey. The programme gave me access to people, organisations and opportunities across the health innovation ecosystem that I may not have reached so early on.”

EO HealthHub Connect joined the Propel Healthtech West Yorkshire Start-Up programme as part of its first cohort following the programme’s expansion in December 2025.
Through masterclasses, mentoring, events and access to Propel’s network of partners, innovators and healthcare organisations, the programme supports early-stage healthtech companies to strengthen their understanding of the NHS and develop the knowledge, relationships and strategies needed to progress their innovations.
For Ebiere, the connections developed through the programme have continued to provide value beyond the formal programme itself. She added: “The networking opportunities were particularly valuable, whether through events organised by Propel or external events and opportunities that the team introduced and supported us to attend.
“Some of the people I met and relationships I built through those opportunities have stayed with me beyond the programme and have led to further introductions, support and opportunities for EO HealthHub Connect. For me, that network and the doors it has continued to open have been one of the most valuable parts of the Propel experience.”
Delivered by Health Innovation Yorkshire & Humber and partners, Propel Healthtech West Yorkshire supports ambitious healthtech innovators through expert mentoring, masterclasses and connections across the NHS, academia and industry.
EO HealthHub Connect’s recognition at the Leeds Digital Festival Awards is another example of the growing community of innovators developing solutions with the potential to make a positive impact across health and care.
The winner of the Tech for Good Award (Small Company) will be announced on 1 October 2026.
