Propel shortlisted for award

10th September 2025

The team behind Propel Healthtech are excited to be shortlisted for a prestigious award – along with one of their innovators.

Propel has been shortlisted for Facilitator of the Year at the Leeds Digital Festival Awards.

The award recognises the people and organisations that bring the Leeds tech and digital community together.

The programme will provide targeted business support for innovators and will help them to scale into the NHS, attract investment, and contribute to regional economic growth. They will also have  access to expert partner organisations including NHS providers and commissioners, primary and secondary care organisations, academic institutions and industry representatives.

Collaboration has always been a vital component of the Propel Accelerator as it supports innovators on their journey to bring Healthtech solutions to the NHS.

Tim East, Propel, Accelerators and International lead, said:

“We’re so pleased to be shortlisted for this award. Over the last six years, we’ve supported over 150 UK and international innovators with their journey into the NHS and we can’t wait to support more Healthtech SMEs.

“Networking and collaboration are core components to Propel, and HealthTech SMEs get introduced to many different NHS stakeholders that can all support their journey into the NHS.”

Asclepius MedTech, one of the companies on last year’s programme, has also been shortlisted for the start-up of the year category.

The awards celebrate the diverse digital and health tech community across Leeds from SMEs to industry leaders, who are driving innovation forward.

Our Propel HealthTech Accelerator has recently expanded thanks to £4.5 million in investment from the West Yorkshire Mayor’s Investment Zone. In partnership with West Yorkshire Combined Authority, we will deliver the accelerator over the next four years and will support up to 240 innovator companies.
